Why BLOG NOW?
As the world continues to shift, finding balance between the digital and physical feels more important than ever. I’ve come to realize that I should’ve dedicated more time to creating on the web — not out of obligation, but because it’s another space to see and be seen. A place for ideas to move freely, and for people to get a clearer glimpse of who we are beyond the surface.
Writing here feels like a more authentic icebreaker — one that could spark new connections, strengthen old ones from afar, or simply drift into the digital void. Either way, the act itself matters.
I plan to keep compounding these reflections — sharing how I see things, how I interpret them, and what I’m learning along the way. In some ways, it’s selfish: I do it to evolve with the times, to stay light in a world that often feels heavy or confusing. Maybe I’ve found a different kind of clarity — one that allows me to do this with more intention.
This blog will be a space for depth.
I’ve trimmed the fat — both literally and figuratively.
Since the start of 2024, I’ve lost 60 pounds and continue working toward another 20. I’ve also unfollowed anything online that doesn’t align with who I am or where I’m heading. My feeds, my focus, and my mind are clearer for it.
Throughout the day, when I drift (as we all do), I ask myself:
Am I doing this because it’s aligned?
It’s the same as asking “why,” but with a bit more warmth.
That warmth — in communication, in presence — hasn’t always come naturally to me. In past roles, or under self-imposed pressure to move quickly, I often rushed through moments or cut out the human element in pursuit of efficiency. I see now how that can build distance instead of connection.
Has anyone else ever felt that — the pull between speed and sincerity?
